Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Courtin decided to become a dentist because of her aunt, who is one of her biggest inspirations! She spent a summer with her in Pennsylvania as an intern, and the woman taught Dr. Courtin how to truly care for patients in need. One of her patients even paid her with chicken eggs, which was EXTREMELY cool to a younger Dr. Courtin. After that summer, she knew exactly what she wanted to do in life – make people smile.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Courtin completed her dental doctorate at the University of the Pacific. Since then, she has pursued a great deal of continuing education, including the completion of a 9-month comprehensive, surgical implant residency program. She is also a trained CEREC doctor, a Fastbraces Master Provider, and a Certified Invisalign Provider for 15+ years. Today, she currently provides a course that helps dentists becomes certified in IV sedation.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Courtin and her husband Raymond have three beautiful children named Brody, Piper, and Brayden. Brayden loves Pokemon and Legos, Piper loves art and can read 40 books in a day, and Brody loves EVERYTHING sports-related, as long as it involves a ball and a team. As for her personal hobbies, running is a big one! She has completed the Boston Marathon three times so far. She’s also passionate about spending quality time with her kids and teaching them everything she knows.
