Veneers

With veneers, we can easily correct multiple dental imperfections in a single procedure. Veneers are custom-made porcelain shells that cover the front side of your teeth, instantly masking discoloration, cracks, chips, gaps, and more at the same time. Dental porcelain looks astonishingly like natural tooth enamel while being durable enough to last for more than a decade. Plus, the treatment only takes two appointments!

Metal-Free Dental Crowns

If one of your front teeth badly needs repair, the last thing you want is a gold or silver crown sticking out in your smile. Because we use dental crowns made from porcelain and other tooth-colored materials, that’s no longer an issue. Your crown will be precisely shaded to mimic your adjacent teeth for results that are just as seamless as they are durable. Better yet, our CEREC technology allows us to design, create, and place dental crowns in just one visit.

Cosmetic Dental Bonding

Do you wish you had a quick fix for the minor stains, small chips, or thin gaps in your grin? As a more conservative alternative to veneers, we can make tiny cosmetic imperfections disappear with dental bonding. To accomplish this, we’ll sculpt a small amount of composite resin (which has been shaded to match your enamel) over the flaws in question and harden it within seconds. In just a single appointment that only takes about one hour, your tooth will look perfect!

Teeth Whitening

Over the years, teeth can become discolored for many reasons, from tobacco to coffee to the natural process of aging. Our professional Zoom! teeth whitening treatments can restore your smile’s luster. You can choose to have your smile brightened dramatically in a single appointment or on your own time using our take-home trays. Whichever option you select, you can trust that your pearly whites will become several shades brighter without causing sensitivity (unlike over-the-counter products).

Orthodontics

If crooked teeth are the reason you struggle to smile, then you have other options besides wearing braces for years on end. At Courtin Dental, we offer FastBraces®, which straightens both the roots and the crowns of your teeth simultaneously, while traditional braces shift them separately. As the name implies, FastBraces® shaves several months off of your orthodontic treatment timeline. We also offer Invisalign clear aligners if you’re looking to conveniently straighten your smile without anyone noticing.

Cosmetic Dentistry FAQs

Questions about cosmetic dentistry

A beautiful smile is within your reach, but cosmetic dentistry is a big investment. It's completely normal if you have some concerns, but don't worry. Your cosmetic dentist in Rockwall, Dr. Courtin, will explain everything during your consultation. In the meantime, here are the answers to a few frequently asked questions.

Is Cosmetic Dentistry Expensive?

Although cosmetic dentistry is associated with a hefty price tag, you don't have to be rich or famous to revamp your smile. Many factors affect the amount you'll pay, but Dr. Courtin strives to keep a flawless smile affordable for everyone. There are many options to address common aesthetic flaws, each with different fees. We will help you find a solution that fits your budget. Our office also accepts many payment methods to keep an attractive smile affordable for everyone.

Does Cosmetic Dentistry Hurt?

Your comfort is Dr. Courtin's top priority. She uses the latest treatments and techniques for less invasive solutions. She can use a local numbing agent to block any pain signals, but it isn't always necessary. Although you won't feel anything during your appointment, your mouth may be a little tender for a few days, depending on your treatment plan. You can manage it with an OTC pain reliever. Applying a cold compress can also numb the area and reduce any swelling or bruising. You can avoid discomfort by eating soft foods and chewing on the opposite side of your mouth if necessary. Your cosmetic dentist will explain any additional aftercare instructions before you go home.

How Long Does Cosmetic Dentistry Last?

Cosmetic dentistry isn't a single procedure. Instead, it consists of many treatments, each with a different lifespan. Many factors will affect how long your results will last, like your oral hygiene routine. Besides brushing twice per day and flossing at night, don't forget to visit your dentist for a cleaning and checkup. Your dentist will also recommend limiting sugary, hard, or chewy foods. It's also best to break any bad habits that can compromise your results, like smoking, chewing on your fingernails, or using your teeth to loosen bottle lids. Wear an athletic mouthguard if you play sports to protect your investment.

Can I Use My Dental Insurance?

Most dental plans won't cover cosmetic services, but there are exceptions if a treatment is medically necessary. If Dr. Courtin determines a procedure is necessary for your oral health, you may be able to use your coverage to offset the cost. Your benefits can also cover certain aspects of your treatment plan, like your consultation or preliminary procedures. A member of our team will work on your behalf with your dental insurance to maximize any applicable coverage. We will explain how your benefits are being used to pay for your treatment and if there’s any remaining balance. Our office accepts many payment methods for any out-of-pocket expenses, like CareCredit. You can pay any expenses using a monthly payment plan with little or no interest in financing based on your credit approval.
