Dr. Mary Courtin opened Courtin Dental in Rockwall in 2011. We are happy to have had the opportunity to serve Rockwall families for over 4 years!  Dr. Courtin and her highly trained staff strive to ensure each appointment at Courtin Dental is an enjoyable one for you and your family. There is no longer a reason to be anxious about going to the dentist because at Courtin Dental you are part of the family.

Dr. Nirmal Bhakta

B.A. Biology, University of Texas, Austin | D.D.S., New York University College of Dentistry

Dr. Nirmal Bhakta was raised in the West Texas area in Amarillo, Texas. He went on to attend the University of Texas at Austin for his undergraduate studies and then on to the prestigious NYU College of Dentistry, where he graduated in the top percentile of his class. Dr. Bhakta loves to give back to his community, and was a proud volunteer in community outreach programs while at New York University. He’s a Texan at heart so after dental school, Dr. Bhakta returned to Texas and chose to call Dallas his home.

Dr. Bhakta believes in life-long education and is a constant student at the nation’s most advanced continuing education programs,including the well-known Spear Education Center.  He has taken countless hours of continuing education in all aspects of cosmetic and implant dentistry, including Invisalign. He takes pride in staying up-to-date with latest techniques and technologies in dentistry. His passion for providing the best patient care through modern dentistry keeps him very active in the dental community. Dr. Bhakta is proud member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Dallas County Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, and Plano Spear Study Club. He is currently working towards completing his fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Bhakta has never lost sight of his passion for serving others. He has been able to serve the Dallas and Rockwall communities by providing free dental services for those in underserved areas with organizations like Dentistry From the Heart.

When not in the office, Nirmal loves to travel, play golf, spend time with his wife, and follow his beloved Longhorns in all sports. You can likely catch him at any of the Longhorn games, or at any of the local Dallas restaurants with his wife, as he loves to eat!
